Monday hustle: Stand Up

Met my goal for end of November, so anything else that gets completed is bonus for me.

Yesterday:

Came up with the first iteration of our landing page (https://ndx8xmyvmhwo.landen.co/). Currently utilizing Landen's free version so that I can get feedback on the content of it while I figure out what I'll use for the landing page in the long term (I really don't want to pay a monthly subscription...).

Today:

Biggest priority is to better understand what tech stack I want for my product, and to better understand the pros/cons of different approaches. The back-end will be in Python since that's what I currently program in for my full-time job, but I'm unsure if I want to go with Python Django (never used this before) or ReactJS (also somewhat proficient in this language) for the front-end. And does the landing page need to be separate from the product as well? And also trying to better understand the differences between SaaS and web app.

Lots of questions that I'll be doing lots of research for today.

Get testing coverage to 30% for our entire app.

What did you do yesterday to work toward your goal?
Opened a PR for tests of one of our authentication components.

What will you do today?
Trying to figure out how to effectively get redux connected components tested, and getting Stryker mutator coverage and pass rates to 100%.

My objective for the end of November keeps being creating documentation for Sitesauce. Still, I got sidetracked again today while migrating both the Sitesauce landing and my website to Zeit from Netlify. Both of the sites mentioned run on Sitesauce, so I still think this was beneficial.

Today or tomorrow: get my first customer for Pagespeedfreaks.com and begin optimizing their website for speed.

End of November:
Get billing released for Botswick

Yesterday:
Started accruing some pilot customers

Today:
Work on billing integrations

November Goals

• Set up a plan to turn Announcr into a SaaS business, and remove the current restriction of needing a physical location, thus supporting online businesses as well.
• Launch lead capture site with streamlined messaging.

Yesterday
Turned all my transcribed voice memos into stories in Clubhouse. Earmarked some as potential Medium posts

Today
I wiped the story board clean in Announcr but wrote a bunch, today's goal is to line up the stories so I can just crank through things through December.

What did you do yesterday to work towards your goal?

Honestly, not much. Had commitments between 8:30AM - 1:00PM and 6:00PM - 10:30PM, with intermediate time not well spent or spent on latter commitment preparation.

What will you do today?

• Work on a coding challenge
• Finish exercises for Chapter 2 / 31 of "The Haskell Book"
• Read through Chapter 3 / 31 of "The Haskell Book"
