Hello IndieHackers,
I finally released the landing page for Monoscope, an side project that I've been working on the last month (but have been thinking about it for almost 5 years).
See at: https://monoscope.io
The most important thing I believe it's the copywriting, and if you were able to understand the idea.
Tech: Next.js (React) + Zeit Now (serverless deployment) + Bootstrap + AWS SES (email)
Thank you for all you guys, I will be updating the website copy and maybe create a GIF with a demonstration. @mmm @LucianoVizza @mintran @SEOguy
Don't spend months on it. Get the next version done this week for feedback. Send an update here
I agree with others, copy is confusing. Even hero headline- transform visitors into people. I know visitors are people- What else can they be? If you are saying- Understand more about your visitors? Turn more visitors into customers? etc.
Agree also design is great
So I may not be the target audience (I don't run lots of ads) but I don't know what "Behavioural Conversion Optimization" is. It seems a little buzzword-esc. I also think this section is stronger in terms of explaining the product and value prop: https://share.getcloudapp.com/L1uYqdNl. I would make it the hero if it was me. "Transform Visitors into People" is confusing to me honestly. I don't know what that means - are my current visitors robots?!?!? (sorry couldn't resist 😄)
"Deliver the right products at the right time and through the right channel" is a nice value prop. You need a "." at the end though.
The images on this section aren't showing up well for me - guessing it's a bug that they are appearing so small with a big white box around them. Also, I'd change "him" to "them" to be more gender-neutral.
Also, these boxes are clickable but they aren't taking me anywhere (just resetting the page with an anchor "#" in the URL): https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8uwK66o
It's annoying and unexpected that these aren't clickable. It makes it feel like they are broken: https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zu5QBNp. I'd just take users to the "Features" page instead of showing that box on hover.
Overall I understand the value is better understanding my website visitors and being able to only target users with ads who are likely to buy. It's compelling. But I have no idea how you actually do that. Without knowing the "how", I'm not sure I believe that you can deliver on that value prop. Screenshots of the product instead of just illustrations might help.
Agreed that design-wise it looks good :)
Design-wise, it looks great. I'm not a big fan of the illustration (I see the same illustrations everywhere).
I spent 10 minutes on the site and wasn't able to understand the concept. I think the copy needs more work.
It is a CRO platform? I wasn't really able to discern what it was in the first 5 seconds.
