Monthly Period Box
Hi there, we are three sisters (aged 15, 11 & 9 years old) from Cape Town, South Africa and we decided together with our mother to start our own product-based business aimed at women especially young girls who just started with their monthly period. We would like to provide young girls with an amazing box filled with all the essential goodies needed to prepare them for their transition into adulthood. So the initial box will include a small toiletry bag, warm water bottle, and a notebook and pen including all the other essentials but then the second box ordered won't include the big stuff like the bag and warm water bottle but other goodies. Every month the box will include the basics but with something sweet like chocolate, or scented candle, or something just to make them feel better.
According to research released in 2018 by Stellenbosch University’s Law Clinic, “30% of South African girls miss school during their menstrual cycles due to limited or no access to sanitary products.”
Our plan is to contribute a portion of our sales towards the provision of sanitary pads to young girls at high schools in and around Cape Town on a monthly basis from every box sold.
We also would like to create an online website as well as an app for the processing of orders to make it easy and convenient to order the box.

This idea would definitely work - but it's more about building distribution (marketing & sales), as well as managing inventory costs. That's the real work.
If you stick with it, and continually grow your audience/attention, then you'll be able to carry it forward and reach more people. At first, it will probably be selling one-on-one with people before people start talking about it and recommending it to others.
As for online website/app, it looks like Shopify accepts payments in South Africa - https://www.shopify.com/payment-gateways/south-africa. I would highly recommend them for ease of use + checkout + blogging.
