More clicks didn't mean better conversion. Our visit-to-user rate got worse.

By Day 5 of the Vistrify restart, some of the top-of-funnel numbers looked better.

Landing views were up.

CTA clicks were up.

That sounds like progress.

But the full-funnel conversion rate told a less comfortable story.

On Day 1:

- 147 landing views

- 1 user created

- visit-to-user rate = 0.68%

On Day 5:

- 207 landing views

- 1 user created

- visit-to-user rate = 0.48%

So even with more attention and more clicks, the overall handoff from visitor to user got weaker.

That was a useful correction for me because it is easy to stop analysis one step too early.

You see more traffic.

You see more clicks.

And you assume the funnel is getting healthier.

Sometimes it is.

Sometimes the top of the funnel is just improving faster than the rest of the experience.

That is what this looks like to me.

If more people arrive, more of them click, and user creation still does not move, then the leak is probably not only in acquisition anymore.

It is somewhere after the click:

- what the next screen asks for

- how much setup the first action feels like

- whether the promise still feels clear once the visitor tries to commit

I think this is one of the most misleading moments in a funnel.

The early numbers start looking alive, so the instinct is to keep pushing traffic.

But if full-funnel conversion is getting worse, then pushing harder at the top can just feed a weak handoff faster.

For me, Day 9 is about respecting the full path, not just the headline numbers.

Traffic matters.

Clicks matter.

But if the visitor-to-user rate falls, then something after the click is still doing damage.

That is the lesson I want to keep in front of me while working on Vistrify:

better top-of-funnel numbers do not automatically mean the funnel got better.

Sometimes they just reveal where the next leak really is.

If you have seen this before, what usually turned out to be the real problem after the click: too much setup, weak clarity, or a bad first action?
