This definitely gave me something to think about when I read it in Josh's facebook group.

It made me unsure whether I was already putting too much work into my free newsletter to be able to properly distinguish it from a paid option. 🙈

When I was trying to decide with Rosieland I thought about writing 'just a few' articles for free to give people a taste of things. But then I realised it would take me months to get there and I just wanted to do something now.

I guess without realising it, I've done what Josh has done. My free weekly newsletter is a curation of links, which I also use to promote my now paid newsletter which is more on insights on community building. I also decided to make some of my Notion resources completely private. Some people have said they appreciate it.

Also, the meetups, with 40 paid members I thought it would be a bit lonely, but 9 have signed up to the first one so far! 🥰

I think your split between free and paid makes total sense! Both are valuable, but hearing your exact thoughts is clearly worth paying for.

That's great to hear about the meetup! I think the high % of engagement really says something :)
