Motivation Fund: updated landing page feedback

We made a ton of updates to our landing page based on feedback from this group. Also, we ran a FB ad that resulted in lots of interest, but no signups. We are hoping this updated page accomplishes the following 1) helps people see what the program is about and 2) helps people see the value proposition. Would love any feedback.

    Here are my thoughts:

    1. The "Getting Started" button under the "What are customers saying?" section doesn't work. Also, I think this is grammatically incorrect "committing to yourself that this now a priority".

    2. There's a LOT of clicks before a signup is complete. I would start tracking where people are getting to before they leave. I got bored by step 4 and really bored by the time you asked for my email address.

The first thing I would do is make the first step asking for an email address. I would even go as far as making this the primary call to action on the front page, rather than "Learn More" or "Get Started". This way, even if they stop signup half way through, you can send them an email later and ask some questions.

    1. It could just be me but the word 'fund' leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially if I arrived from a facebook ad. This is just speculation but some people might be turned off by the idea of giving money to some random website and not knowing if they'll actually get their money back. I think building trust is by far the most important thing for a website like this.

    2. When I got to the page asking how much money I wanted to put up, the lowest amount is $25 bucks. Following on from the previous points I think this is too much money to ask for a first try. Maybe I'd be willing to give $1 or $2 and see how it goes, then more later if I achieve my goals.

    3. It's very wordy. Similar to point 2 the signup process is too long. I wanted to read the whole thing to decide if I wanted to trust giving over my money but at the same time I was bored before I got to the bottom of the page.

    4. Lastly, I remember reading about this "give money to a friend" technique of motivation in several books over the years. I've never really tried it myself but I know where you're coming from. Maybe look into those books and borrow the words they use, maybe even leverage "search terms" from those books.

It's just too hard. Too many questions. Boil it down to the basics:

"I want to loose 10 kilos. Here's $5. Give it back to me in 10 weeks if I succeed".

Incredible feedback. Especially on the simplification. I really appreciate it!

The site looks really slick! I like the animation of the words on the right side of the page (in desktop).

The one thing I'd update, stylistically, is the "example goals" section, because the text alignment on that section looks a little off--it looks like you have "text-align: justify" on the text below the "text-align: center" on the icon and title.

Thanks for taking a look! We will review the example goals section.
