Moving Abroad solely for taxes?

Hey guys,

my plan is to become an expat (currently living in Berlin) in Prague mainly for tax reasons (with some techniques you can get 5-10% taxes there).

Anyhow, altough I really liked Prague I'm not really excited. After having prepared all, it feels a bit shitty to go abroad solely for taxes. Would you go forward? Has anybody done similar moves?

Some infos about me:

  • Male in his early 20s, in relationship since a few months
  • Contact-friendly, hadn't issues making friends anywhere
  • Not speaking any Czech
  • Generally moving fast / adjustable, but felt homesickness already before

I will receive 1-5 millions in the next 2 years (contracts for remote work are signed, living in Prague will net me 1m€+ over the next 2-3 years compared to staying in Germany), but would be also financially fine in Germany as well.

    1. 1

That does not work as germany (and every high tax nation) has CFC rules. Basically unless there is substance in EE you have to pay german tax as well on your EE/offshor companies profits.
