Moving from a single platform MVP? React Native vs. Swift/Java

Hey all,

Second post! Woot.

I have created an MVP that I am super happy with. I targetted iOS and built it in Swift 5 only because I am an Apple user and know Xcode pretty well. I am a designer before a developer and am super happy with the quality of UX you can create for iOS without many edges cases.

That said, I cannot position my product as a real solution without an Android client. I'd like to get the communities to feedback on moving to both platforms.

I LOVE the idea of two code bases and ensuring the best possible UX that each SDK can provide but don't see how that is even remotely possible to maintain as the only builder. I have used React Native in the past but was never super satisfied with the quality of experience.

Have you moved from one mobile platform to both?
Did you bring on another person to help build out the other platform?
Is two code bases reasonable for one person?
Do you know how to make custom Swift/Java modules for RN?

Anything really... ;)

Best,
Barry.
