MrBeast's pitch decks get leaked, and they aren't pretty

MrBeast's pitch decks are proof that substance is much more important than style.

MrBeast may be the most popular creator on YouTube, but at the end of the day, he’s still a creator who needs to make a living. And, like most other creators, a large part of this effort comes from selling ads and sponsorships.

Thanks to the MrBeast Burger lawsuit and Business Insider, we now know what a MrBeast pitch deck looks like.

For the most part, they look pretty normal.

The deck they allowed us to see was for General Motors, and it had:

  • An introduction slide highlighting that MrBeast was the largest digital creator on the planet and had an audience some 250M strong.

  • A slide with stats that showed off of his very impressive social reach.

  • A slide highlighting MrBeast’s video of him being buried alive for 50 hours with the caption “MrBeast pushes through the impossible.”

  • A slide listing his previous partnerships with brands like Chipotle, Walmart, and Discord.

  • A slide that emphasized the sought-after youth demographic is predominantly on YouTube.

It’s a pretty standard deck. The most interesting about it is how…ugly it is. Just take a look at some of these slides.

It looks like something a 14-year-old would whip up right before class, not something a multi-millionaire would use to pitch a $56B company.

In some respects, this seems to be par for the course for MrBeast. The man is a savant when it comes to making YouTube videos, but as his leaked company PDF revealed, he is not a man who sweats the details of relatively unimportant things like grammar.

In other respects, the deck shows that substance is much more important than presentation. If you pull in two billion views monthly, like MrBeast does, you can get away with some ugly slides.

Substance > Style, especially with a massive 324M audience. For the rest of us, we can rely on storypitch.ai to get our story and pitch on point

  2. 3

It’s very difficult to read the text on the slide.

    1. 1

      Ain't that the truth.

  3. 2

    The truth?
Your pitch deck doesn't need to be pretty.
Your presentation doesn't need to be perfect.
Your slides don't need to be stunning.

    What matters is:
    → Real results
    → Actual impact
    → Proven track record

Because when you're pulling 2B views monthly...
Nobody cares if your slides look pretty.

    Results speak louder than aesthetics.
    Always have.
    Always will.

So basically this is telling you nothing about how to create decks. MrBeast gets away with it because there is so much value in actually sponsoring him. For the rest of mortals, well thought and designed decks are a must...

Not sure why the town is gathering their pitch forks for Mr Beast lately, but this could just have been an early draft to jot down some ideas.

Consistency should be top priority for big brands. Being able to visually communicate your brand across all marketing material is crucial to maintaining the integrity of the brand.

Imagine if Coca-Cola or Liquid Death, while maintaining their global brand identity through commercials and advertising, sent out low level, 98 Powerpoint Graphics presentations internally between stakeholders.

Communicating your brand ID, inside and out is essential.

I bet, that this pitch deck was made like "Beast, they are asking for some slides, do we do or let em go? - Make something for them, we need some millions to build new water collectors in Africa"

  8. 1

If you are Mr. Beast, you don't need pretty pitch deck even you don't have a deck. But for the rest, proper decks are better

  9. 1

You would think that even if he didn't care about style, that some of that youtube feel would have transferred over to the slides

The problem with Instagram and TikTok influencers... It's the same social problem as the C student getting the A student to cheat for them, except this time, they have surrounded themselves with D students. Maybe influencers should learn to seek out people who actually do great work, instead of golf cart pond junkies.

These look like quick mockups just to get the idea out. I doubt these were final designs.

  12. 1

stuff from mr beast keeps leaking. i wonder what thats about

  13. 1

Oh, look! The first slide belongs in r/Unnecessaryapostrophe/.

  14. 1

    He could've hired me lol

    1. 2

I could've done the job for a light 6 figures for sure.

  15. 1

Honestly, it’s a bit surprising to see such a sloppy pitch from someone with so much success. But in the end, with an audience like that, it's clear the focus is elsewhere!

    1. 1

It might be part of his charm, tbh. "I'm so good at what I do I don't even need to put effort into this meeting"

  16. 1

Can't help but wonder if this is something intentional? As a guy who allegedly invests HOURS into his thumbnails and details like that, I'd expect him to have a deliberate reason for this?

Because that deck is ugly —yes— but a kind of "in-your-face" ugly that's almost laughable.

    1. 1

I don't think he needs to introduce himself - people know what he's about. So he gets away with it to some extent. Not a route I'd take, but also they're targeting a certain market. Makes sense they're a little unique in that way.

    2. 1

Yes, it seems very intentional...like the billionaire showing up to a business meeting in dirty sneakers, unkept hair, and ripped jeans.

    Where is the pitch link???

    1. 1

      In the Business Insider link.

      1. 1

Is there a direct link to it? I couldn't find any even with Grok 2 & Perplexity lol. Do you have the document?
