Hello fellow indie hackers,

My name is Steven and I’d like to present to you my journey in the indie world. I have just created a job-board type website but only for Webflow projects. The website was created with Webflow, and while following some tutorials in Makerpad I was abl

Found this company: https://www.gitstart.com/ On their page it has "Made with Webflow". They're a YC company that's just graduated & will most likely close a large funding round soon (if they haven't already) so will be looking to hire more devs. Contact them to see if they would be interested posting on your job board

Nice! thank you for this recommendation I will surely contact them.

Manually re-create job postings from other sites for your target niche. This allows you to drive recruiters in. That then allows you to sell to companies, which you can find on LinkedIn or other forums. AirBnB did this in the early days by stealing Craig's List postings. I've also seen other job boards start this way. Don't fuss about automating this - do it manually to drive up interest.

Thank you for your feedback. the only job-board site that has these types of Webflow jobs is Upwork, I guess I should sign up to see the info of each post. should I ask permission to recruiters to post their jobs in my site?

It is better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission.

Since you've got a shortage, you've got some work cut out for you. Phone/message companies that you know use Webflow and ask if they have any current positions available that you can list. If you're struggling to find companies then look for people on LinkedIn who use Webflow and look through their employment history.

Also, Upwork is not the only site listing Webflow jobs. Take a look here

Yes, not all of them are Webflow the app, but some are, and you can grab them. You're going very niche which means a lot of work for you, but potentially high payoffs if you can drive the traffic there.

Since Webflow seems like a startup, I'd contact them and tell them what you're doing (building a job board) and ask them for warm referrals to companies that use Webflow. They'd be thrilled because the more people hear about them the bigger they become.

I think SEO is where you should start. Create a blog and write some content about how to write a resume or job posting that is awesome. You could get into ppc advertising, but you gotta provide some type of value to people so that they have a reason to come to your site before you get any job postings. Once you have an audience of readers, then you can convert that audience into customers.

Very good tips, I will create a page in the site for a blog section to drive traffic.
