We built a product for people who want an elegant personal CV website. We then created a landing page, and posted on some local Israeli groups on Facebook "Who wants a personal CV website?". We priced it at (the equivalent of) $12, one time payment for life. Couple of folks paid, and their complaints helped us fix some stuff.
We're now trying to figure out how to market. Posting on local Israeli Facebook groups seems to exhausted itself. As we are not yet ready to launch, we'll be satisfied with 15-20 firstcomers to guide us, through their reviews, on what to improve next, what to focus on, and what features to add.
But How to get them?
Congrats on getting an MVP going! It sounds like your product might be a good fit for LinkedIn. I hear the organic reach there is still quite good.
Maybe you could write/produce some content about what makes a good CV website or what are the best tools to set one up, referencing your product?
Or you cloud reach out to some people there whose profiles don’t list a website and walk them through setting up their CV-site on your platform? Even if you have to give them access for free initially, now people who check out their profile and click the link will land on your site. If they like it, they might sign up.
Just throwing some ideas out there.
what you can do is to look out for customers on LinkedIn and then extract their email via AEROLEADS.COM . Then email each of them with your idea, there is a big chance that they will be interested.
Great work! I think the better question is what are you best at? Content, outbound sales, cold emails...?
If you don't know how to do any of those things, you have two options. You can either learn them (which is great, but it does take time) or you can find a partner or team member who already is equipped with those skills.
Hi giladmp, so just to understand, do you design / format and host the cv for your clients?
I have used and enjoyed this free resource for creating my own resumes: https://www.canva.com/templates/resumes/
