We launched www.Archly.ie [ark-lee] a year ago to connect Architects & Homeowners in Online Consultations. I have customers, feedback, some revenue but not near enough to commit fulltime. My tech skills don't go beyond Wordpress, html, css (i'm an architect). What do I do next with the current MVP? Continue with hacking wordpress myself or outsource development...Thank you
I decided to build my own home in 26 weeks because I am a little bit crazy and I wanted to do something different. I thought it would be interesting to see how long I could build the house in a month.
I started by researching what materials and tools were needed for building a house, but then I found that there were so many different kits available at [ark-lee] that it was not possible to buy all of them at once.
So, instead of buying all the materials individually, I decided to build some parts of the house myself. This way, I could save money and still get a good quality product that would last for many years.
Your opening statement tells me exactly what the site is about, and I like how you break down the way your site name relates to what you do.
I can't say I know anything about architecture (I'm a designer/developer), but I can give you some pointers on improving the website...
Wordpress can be slow sometimes (depending on your hosting) and I've been working a lot with headless Wordpress and ReactJS. It might be something to consider if you bring on a developer.
I hope the above helps, but I would recommend getting a designer and/or developer to help tidy things up, improve user journeys and ultimately convert more visitors.
Wow! Thank you so much for this detailed feedback. I owe you...If you ever need home design advice 😃
You're welcome! :) I love reviewing sites (I should turn that into a business!).
If you make changes I'd be happy to review again in the future.
