MVP is ready, but not sure about pricing model

Hey everyone,

I am a developer and have built an iOS app that should be at a good MVP state too.

I've created a Landing page here: https://pairingbuddy.mailchimpsites.com/ - With a BuyMeACoffee link in it.
I am planning to add the same Coffee donation link in the App Store along with the product description.

My main doubt is pricing the app. It is important for the end users to have valuable content available in the app, as it relies heavily on the community to post interesting tasks for others to join and collaborate on these.

Therefore I think I have two options:

1. Free model, and rely on donations to start with. Then perhaps go to paid as the community grows.
2. Another approach would be starting with a symbolic price, e.g. 0.99 or so. This would ensure there is some degree of "control" over content quality, as no free postings would be allowed. And people would need to take it somehow seriously.

Does anyone have any similar experience with similar products and would not mind sharing their inputs on this?
