MVP OR LANDING PAGE?

I have a concept for the electric vehicles domain, I’d like to validate this idea even before building it. Would it make sense to create a landing page illustrating the concept and user benefits?

If yes, what could be the ideal platform to spread the word. Thank you in advance.

Landing page any given day (reasons given below.)
1. Creating landing pages is quick (respectively whether you are using some tool or coding it yourself, as compared to MVP.)
2. You will get leads.
3. You can survey the users about which feature they value the most and different aspects of the offering.
4. Depending upon, whether you are self or VC funded, then you can then develop MVP focusing whether you like to hit break-even or gain massive traction.
About distribution, I totally agree with what @tbotnar suggested. Take his advice and do the hard work and connect with your audience.

Yep, I'd suggest building only a landing page - detailing all the features of the MVP and the value you'll bring to your users. Have a strong call-to-action for your visitors (either pre-sales or joining an email list). If you see a high conversion rate, you're probably ok to go ahead and start on the MVP.

The ideal platform to spread the word is where your customers/users will be. Try to find all the subbreddits/facebook groups your users hang out at.
