TBH, feels like it's more than an MVP, kinda "polished it". I might wrote another thread on what I would have done differently, to be able to launch it in one week - that was the initial target π
I would be someone who would actually use this service, because sometimes a long voice message stresses me out a bit, or at least I wait with listening to it, because it seems "more work". But I checked the pay as you go pricing on your website, and I would never pay that much for this service. I would pay 0.01β¬ per voice message or maybe 0.05β¬Β per voice message, then the service's value would be bigger to me than its price. But several $ for a voice message? No way. I wish you success though!
Really appreciate the feedback, very valuable. As for every product, the subscriptions are definitely more advantageous than prepaid packages: with prepaid package it can be mininum ~ $0.17 / minute, while with the subscription min. ~ 0.027 / minute. But that's without the %20 launch discount though.
I went into the
per minutepricing rather than theper voice message(even though I considered it) - since it would feel unfair to be charge a voice message of 3 seconds.TBH pricing strategy is a b****, it's a complex subject: need to be cheap enough for people to buy it, not too cheap or people will not consider it, and find the balance between the value perceived / money spent, while trying to earn something out of it. In my situation the issue is mainly about WhatsApp: a user costs me $0,8 in the US, whereas it's 2,4β¬ in Europe. So went first for a price that could fit both markets. I'll iterate on the pricing, it's the beginning :)
edit: Your message def makes my brain rethink the pricing strategy ahaha always I'm definitely looking for these kind of feedbacks !! π
Cool! Yeah, I'm working on a B2B startup and we are still trying to "find" the correct pricing. We have been changing our pricing frequently, but we kept the prices the same for everyone who decided to onboard (if they want to they will forever get the pricing they received at the time of onboarding).... Maybe interesting for you: Because we didn't want to lose the small customers, we created a seperate plan for them with restricted features at a price even they don't want to say no at. I'm curious to hear why WhatsApp Europe costs three times as much? BTW, if that 2,40β¬ for Europe is a one-time fee you have to pay somehow, paying that would be fine with me. I believe most people are much more open to paying a one-time fee and then an appropriately low ongoing fee. I think the pain point with voice messages is not big enough to justify premium pricing. But I could be completely wrong, since you already have paying customers. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the insights! I'll keep that in mind. The main cost for me is always WhatsApp, and it's not a
one time feesince they basically charge you on aper conversationbasis, actually related to the phone number it self. The prices I exposed are actually /month :) (it's easy to check this data w/ WhatsApp business though, nothing confidential there). I'll try to think to a more appropriate way to do it, but for now I had to make a decision on what strategy to go for ahah. Will definitely look into a cheaper / more accessible version, which would be sustainable. The idea as well is, when you look at the 'cheap packages', it doesn't feel right compared to the other ones, so it's to push users to go to better plans actually.@nearmint reworked the price list today ahah would love to hear your thoughts ;) (dm in Twitter if you want!)

I would use this, to be honest. Long VMs require taking notes, which is kinda stressful. This can be a nice B2B microsaas tool too if you are thinking of scaling
Focusing on the B2C for now I think, didn't really think about how to leverage that in B2B yet to be honest but would think about it :)
Congrats!
Thanks π
Congrats! I might need this as well since reading messages could hinder me from multitasking between works at founders cafe
Ahah dope ! Thanks for the support π. You can just try it for free with no credit card or whatever though, just texting it. For now it's only 3min free, I'm gonna try to implement a referral system to go up to 12-15 free mins hopefully today :)
My first subscriber is a Stand-up er that uses to text people in a more efficient way - record the voice and send the transcription, I might start to do that too π
congratulation on your achievement. However, I am confused who this service for ? If people forgot the earphone then
Thanks for the support! Indeed, but it means you have to wait to know what's happening or try to listen in poor conditions (imagine you're in a bus, in the street, whatever).
Nowadays, people want everything immediately. It's about productivity - a solution for people that can't wait to know the content of their voice message and are unable to listen to it :)
There is as well an accessibility concern there, for people having hearing issues for instance! Hope it's clearer :)
Good to hear from you. I like the intention behind the app.
Have you got paying customers for this solution ? Market speaks for itself.
Launched this week and got two subscriptions so far... not a lot but encouraging to continue.
Wow that's great!
