My Amazon junk brand filtering site was just proven to be a great idea - by someone else

After launching MyTrustedBrands.com and getting a small amount of traction last month, today I woke up and saw none other than Josh Pigford had released his own web extension targeting the very same problem - the shopping experience on Amazon. His twitter post went viral, hitting over 10MM views in 24 hrs. Meanwhile, my posts are being aggressively taken down from Reddit despite traction and upvotes.

What started as a side project is likely to be sidelined by a much higher profile launch, but I'm not giving up. The idea was just proven to be incredibly viable by a huge positive response. Keeping a frictionless web application available as an alternative to the high-friction web extension is where I can differentiate today, and I'm trying to use the momentum of the problem to share my own solution.
