Hey everyone,
Major milestone today for my one-person studio, MPLS LLC. ClaroGrid has officially cleared the rigorous Shopify App Store review process and is live.
With the current trend of the internet flooding with fragile, "vibe-coded" wrappers, I wanted to build the exact opposite: a deeply pragmatic, boring, but highly reliable B2B utility.
The problem is simple: making bulk changes to a live Shopify catalog is a high-stakes gamble. The native tools and most existing apps lack a true safety net, making massive updates terrifying if you make a mistake.
To solve this, I built ClaroGrid—a lightning-fast, spreadsheet-style bulk product editor. Its core defining feature is a reliable, one-click full undo history. It gives merchants the confidence to move fast without the fear of destroying their live store data.
The ethos behind it is strictly uncompromised: pure utility, no tracking, and no data selling.
Now that the engineering phase has crossed the finish line, I'm pivoting entirely to distribution. The Shopify App Store is notoriously ruthless, and I know getting those first 3-5 reviews is critical.
For those of you who have launched in the Shopify ecosystem (or similar B2B app stores), what were your most effective, low-budget strategies for securing those very first active users?
