My BRAND NEW Site is Already Ranking In Google! It Is Possible!
Hey guys!
Just writing because I am SIKED. I've been super into the blogging world for a few years but have never actually taken action until this past month.
I'm talking years of learning and reading and perfecting....
And it might actually be paying off!!
I launched on July 13th, and since then have been AWFUL about consistency 😂😭 (don't worry, I'm fixing that NOW).
I have only posted and marketed 1 post.
But that one post that I only promoted to my very small Instagram user base, and did absolutely no outreach for (so it has no backlinks) is already ranking on page 2 of search results! I only have a domain authority of 1!
I published my post on Instagram Hashtag Strategy on July 27th and have literally watched it go up by a page in Google almost every day since.
Good to know that my many many hours of research into keyword research and SEO have paid off - and I am soooooo much more motivated to kick my a** into gear now 😂.

So, when you say that the article is showing up on page 2 of SERPs, what keyword / phrase is that article ranking for?
Currely it's ranking for "Instagram hashtags cheat sheet" last I looked it was 18th. Working on some outreach for some bcaklinks to make it into the coveted 10...
I used 4 other keywords throughout the article that are a little more competitive and I've yet to show up in results for those yet - end goal is getting into the results for those but frankly I'm just thrilled to be receiving any organic traffic 😂😂

Fwiw, I don't know if I'd ever use that search phrase.
"cheet sheet" is a very unusual term, so I can see why you'd more quickly rank for that phrase.
Off the top of my head, I'd likely search for 'how to do instagram hashtags' or 'instagram hashtags best practices' or something along those lines.
If you use Google auto-suggest, and type in 'instagram hashtag' you can get an idea of the top searches users are performing.
Dunno if you have a need to gather email addresses, but instead writing an article with 6k+ words (which is honestly pretty overwhelming), you may be better off writing an article with 2k-3k words, and use it as a lead-gen for collecting emails addresses where you offer to send them your 6k+ word ebook on the topic.
Or better yet, sell the 6k+ word eBook for $5 through Gumroad :)
You offer a lot of value -- why not try and monetize it for some passive income?
Oh, once you get to 50k pageviews/month, you can monetize with ads if you like using a platform like Mediavine. Once you get to 100k/month, you can use AdThrive.
I agree! It wouldn't be my first phrase either, but it has about 300 searches per month so it is being searched and the fact that it isn't one of those larger keywords is most definitely how I was able to rank. My DA is only 1, so I wouldn't be able to compete with a keyword that has an average DA of 70. I use keysearch, Moz, and a couple other research tools.
And I do collect emails and I've gotten quite a few sign-ups through the freebie in the article - but I will definitely think about upping my sign up offer. So far I've just been focused on proving value - once I have the traffic then yeah I'll be signing up for ads and maybe I'll start selling on gumroad.

Congrats! One tip though... when I visited the site, I got hit with 3 popups all at once (cookies notice, pushengage, and opt-in form). Might want to scale that back.

Hmmm so all of my settings are on different delays. 🤔🙃 I updated them all so hopefully it's fixed! If anyone else passing by experiences this please do lmk so I can see if I need to get my problem-solving boots on.

That's great. I've been blogging for 4+ years at TheSaaSCFO.com. Some posts take off with SEO and others are a struggle. But it's a marathon for Google rankings.
