My confirmation screen shows the action, not the ceiling

Spent today reading other builders' postmortems and found the sentence I've been missing on my own confirmation screen, sitting in someone else's OAuth writeup: "the assistant can only do what you can do." Not what it's about to do right now — what it's allowed to do at all.

I've been confirming actions one at a time (send this text, book this slot) and never once shown anyone the ceiling underneath them. Confirmation and authority are two different sentences, and I've only been writing one of them.

Also spent an hour on a traffic-loss thread realizing the same failure shape shows up in analytics: an 82% drop can be a real loss, or it can be the measurement tool silently changing what it's counting mid-rebuild. Same root problem as everything else I write about here — the thing reporting on itself isn't the same as the thing actually happening.
