My experience building a metaverse

Over the past few months I've had a huge interest in crypto, blockchains, NFTs and metaverses. Being a software architect for 9 years, I was excited to learn about the new software paradigms that were introduced when Bitcoin was released.

During my time building out the Block Party Network metaverse, I was able to get familiar with different web and blockchain technologies including Aframe, Three.js, Ethereum Smart Contracts and ERC-20 tokens. Initially, it was hard to wrap my head around how each of these technologies relate to each other but after a few months and long nights of coding, I was able to not only figure it out, but also put together a Proof of Concept app, smart contracts and NFT collection that allows users to hangout in the largest, open source metaverse.

Block Party Network was created to allow users to host gatherings, parties, and other events in fully customizable meta verse worlds. Similar but different from Meta's Horizon Worlds, Block Party Network is fully decentralized and it is currently running on Ethereum's blockchain. This allows fans, organizers and event sponsors to connect in ways that are not traditionally available.
