My Experience with BetaPage

Just wanted to share my experience with BetaPage.co in case anyone else is considering launching on it...

I launched both Really Simple Store and Joustlist on BetaPage right before launching each on Product Hunt.

At the time, I think you either had to wait a month to get reviewed, or you could pay to jump the line. I decided to pay, because it also included being featured on the site and in their email. Now, it looks like there's no delay, but you need 5 manual upvotes before you show up on the site. So you can get shown for free, right away, if you can get five people to upvote you.

Numbers
Really Simple Store's gotten a little over 60 clicks from BetaPage, and while most came in the first day or two, there are still referrals each week. (Launch was in April.) Joustlist had more like 35 clicks from BetaPage and also still gets traffic from it.

I'd imagine if I launched today, both would be higher, because BetaPage's audience has grown (30K email subs, 13K twitter).

Side story
On Product Hunt launch day for each product, I included the PH badge on the website so traffic from BetaPage would translate to PH. That worked pretty well. Really Simple Store was on the homepage all day, and Joustlist came close but didn't crack the top ten.

TL;DR
There are a lot of product listing sites these days, but not all of them generate traffic. BetaPage generates traffic, even months after listing, and you can list for free.
