My favourite Bubble Plugins [with reviews]

  • Toolbox
  • API Connector
  • Stripe.js
  • HTML5 Video Player
  • Air Static Dropdown Labels
  • Reload on update
  • VagueTime Timestamps

In 71Lines.com I use them, and here is why... 👇🏼

1) Toolbox
Toolbox Bubble Plugin

This is my favourite one because it enables you to run Javascript code and use Javascript variables with your Bubble components (see "Javascript to Bubble").
It's the bridge between no-code and low-code 💙

2) API Connector
API Connector Bubble Plugin
If you need to communicate with external services you need to use API calls, and this plugin is the way to do it.

3) Stripe.js
Stripe.js Bubble Plugin
ALL you need to have to handle payments and subscriptions within your Bubble app.

4) HTML5 Video Player
HTML5 Video Player Bubble Plugin
In my projects, I use videos a lot.
This plugin is completely customisable, and it has all the functions that I need when dealing with videos.

5) Air Static Dropdown Labels

Air Static Dropdown Labels Bubble Plugin
This clever and tiny plugin allows you to display dropdown labels different from the values. I use it for list of "Countries", I don't want to show country codes, but my invoice system needs them, so for example with this plugin I show users the label "United States", but I pass to my invoice system the value "US".

6) Reload on update

Reload on update Bubble Plugin
"We just updated this page. Please refresh the page to get the latest version. You will not be able to use the app until you refresh."
Are you familiar with this?
This plugin reloads the page automatically when you change something, so users won't see that message.

7) VagueTime Timestamps

Reload on update Bubble Plugin
It turns Date objects into timestamps in more readable formats such as: "3 days ago", "in a couple of hours", "a year ago", "just now".

Keep building great stuff people.

Thanks for the review. For the dropdown, I use attributes natively in the option set - I wonder if it does the same thing? Thanks for the list. I love the idea of VagueTime stamps, and I will try the video plugin.

I'm interested in products related to passwords but I could only find this product through Google. Can you help me find the resource you're referencing? Thanks!

Thanks @LaurenceM, which "attributes" option are you referring to? :) can you post a screenshot?

For some reason, I can't paste my image here...Go to data > Option Sets. Pick your option you will see a button for "Create New Attribute". Be careful it's not always easy to see "modify attribute" next to the attribute afterwards as it's below. This way for every data "thing" that is an option set (like a list of country or currency for me) you can create any number of attributes (or any display) and you can choose in dropdowns or any other area the data thing. Everytime you use the option you will have to decide what to pick (display or any attribute you have created). Remember that the "thing" display is the initial name. Send me your email and I can send you the screen (or teach me how to copy paste here...I must be a bit off here...Ah Ah)

Uh! This is a clever way to do it, thanks a lot :)

As for pasting images here, you need to use markdown, check this guide https://www.markdownguide.org/cheat-sheet/

In the first table, look for the "image" element.
You need to replace "image.jpg" with the link to your image, hosted somewhere like a public drive folder
