My favourite "Freemium" tools to almost run a $0 marketing stack 😊

Hey guys 😊

Following up from another post I did this week where I curated this 300+ free tools list! --> https://www.indiehackers.com/post/created-this-free-300-tools-airtable-with-tools-that-help-with-growth-workflows-8815b09842

These are easily my favourite freemium based tools which provide so much value! Obviously many you would have heard of but hopefully a couple you may have not before :)

👉Zoom - Video conference software

👉Loom - Free screen video recording tool

👉Phantombuster - Make the Web your database. API-fy the web. Best tool for web-scraping & web automation IMO.

👉Hotjar - Heat Mapping + Tracking

👉Amplitude - Helps you use customer data to build great product experiences that convert and retain users.

👉UberSuggest - Free SEO Keywords Research + many other incredible features!

👉Hemingway - Hemingway App makes your writing bold and clear.

👉HARO - Help a Reporter Out - With HARO, you get access to emails from journalists seeking interviewees. Submit a pitch to be one, see yourself in the news, and start working on your personal branding.

👉Seed keywords - Find completely fresh keyword ideas.

👉Canva - Amazingly simple graphic design for bloggers.
I mean the list is endless 💪😊

I use quite a lot of these at my startup but particular favourites I highly recommend include Loom, UberSuggest, Phantombuster + Hemingway.

Which are your favourite freemium tools? 😊

Good list! I'd add Keyword Surfer, MozBar, and SEOquake for analyzing SERPs.

https://seodity.com fits nicely in this list I guess :) On-site analysis, competitor analysis, rank tracker, uptime monitoring, performance(lighthouse) monitoring in one tool. Freemium also available :)

Great resource, thank you for sharing. Check out https://did.app which has a generous free tier, a great way to easily add passwordless authentication to your website.

I'd love to hear your experience with HARO. Can you share a case study? I googled your name in Google News and saw some posts from 2015 - 2017. Were those quotes gained from you workin HARO?

    1. 1

Hey Joe, actually I've funnily enough only just started on it myself! So can't give a case study but thought was good to add. I am getting quite a few questions about it though and many people who I know have had mixed results.

Also those posts I actually did write them myself especially for Business Insider.

I am also keen for case studies though for sure!

I'm a subscriber of HARO as well, answered to a few journalist demands. But I never had any feedback… Do you think it really worth it?

    1. 1

Yeah have heard this as well and it's similar to my comment above to Joe. Very new to it but heard can get some awesome results out of it, but have heard some others have been "burnt" by it too with the actual journalists :(
