My first customer!
I'm very proud and happy for this small goal but for was great joy for me. This means someone appreciated what I built and invest their money and time on it.
A few days ago after a quite a month after releasing my my side project (https://getmomento.io) i got a mail from Stripe saying there was a new subscription!
Momento it's a platform to help monitor your domains.
This will lead me to improve more and more on my products and keep rocking! 🎉🚀

I decided to acquire people for the beta test for free. The crucial moment will come once I start charging an entry fee and see the number of people who're keen to pay for what I made.

Congratulations - don't see it being a small goal at all.
I know some articles are written about a first customer not being a big deal and maybe that applies for high touch sales. In this case sounds like it was a pure from the web sale, meaning if you had the money to invest in advertising you might be able to get more customers.

One tip... make it more clear what "monitoring" means and why it's important.
From reading the homepage I can see there are different ways to monitor my domain(s), but I'm not sure why I would chose to do it on your platform rather than just doing it all within my account on my domain registrar.
So making your value proposition more clear I think would will really make your project take off. All the best!
