My first eBook - results & feedback (10k USD in 27 days)

I wrote this post to encourage other developers that they can and should write their own eBook, if they want to, and that it can work out.
You'll hear how I panicked when I didn't have a single sale after 3 hours, but what happened after that surprised me.
I hope you'll enjoy the details, transparency and openness - and since it just broke through 10k USD today in sales, I'll be writing the how-to guide I promised to my followers on Twitter.
Feel free to ask me questions, or to post your write-ups on how your eBook went. I've also included a couple of indie hackers that inspired me to have a go.

Would be great to be kept posted about how this develops further. I am just wondering if there is an initial peek at the beginning or if you'd have similar growth for a period of time.

I'm now seeing some long-tail growth from placing a link on openfaas.com and at blog.alexellis.io - the amount of people coming into the funnel isn't that high yet, but it's turning into a small % of sales.
I also wonder if my other content that reaches a much broader audience would do well as an eBook - Golang and Kubernetes, or whether that market is saturated and would become lost amongst the noise.
With all of this, I'm learning that experimentation is key - the book I reference "The Right It" opened my eyes, and is also available as a free PDF pamphlet if you google for it.
In the meantime, I just released revision 6 of the eBook and will continue spending a small % of time on it each week. I don't think that's usual for eBook authors, but everyone who's purchased gets the updates and additional value for free. The Slack community has also helped with engagement.

If you're unsecure about Golang and Kubernetes, maybe you launch a pre-sales campaign on Gumroad or whatever to test it and then produce it?
