My first Independent Watch App - AstroNote (TestFlight Beta)

Hey everyone,

I finally had the guts to sign up for an account here to share my work. I'm trying to write a few apps for the Apple Watch, and here is my first one.

It is a small independent app called AstroNote - it comes with a REST API that lets you send (push) notifications to yourself. My MVP is pretty basic but I think I can do some cool features that set it apart from existing competition.

Grab the beta at https://astronote.app/beta/join.html

I chose to write this for the Apple Watch because ... I love my watch! And I think independent applications may have an interesting future. WatchOS is pretty basic right now, and very limited, but I think in a few more years it will be its own platform, not needing an iPhone at all.

I am pretty close to tagging my code 1.0, but I still have a ton to do in terms of supporting websites, documentation, landing page. Who knew those things would almost take almost more time than hacking code.

Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Hey Steve, congratulations on your launch.

Unfortunately I don't have an Apple Watch so I can't try the beta. But, I can suggest something that may help you get more attention on the App Store.

My website, SplashPad (https://getsplashpad.com), helps you write about product more effectively by suggesting words that attract attention and sell. By popular request, we're working on some templates that will help you write high quality app store pages.

    Good luck!
