My first post on Indie, or is it?

I guess, I have made the mistake of not making the first post here LIKE A REAL HUMAN.

See... I have been a self-made digital marketer before assuming a career with a leading fintech in SEA. Occupation has a taken a toll on me, and I quickly forgot to engage and communicate.

It has been a roller coaster ride in my past decade post graduation - from throwing myself to self-employment and having to start over again, to getting myself into pile of debt and now retrenchment

But what have I learnt? Surely something. Much, in fact..

Indie hacker probably isn't exactly the most popular choice of word. In SEA, indie maybe vocally perceived as "Hindi". And hacker? For a common layman, it will seem scary at first.

But I have just learnt that I have been an indie hacker for 10 years.

None of what I have achieved today, is a direct result of my degree, monetary support (wasn't any), nor being told what to do. It was pure grit and constant self-improvement, with application and real action.

I managed to secure a career in Digital Marketing, after 5 years of self-learning and contributing.

I have also managed to generate an annualized 108% return in past 30months, and YTD March 2020 of about 20% from the capital market. But not years after paying tonnes of real tuition fee to the market as a self-directed trader.

I have nothing to boast, except for the grace of God.

This platform might be a safe haven for me to write, away from the noise in conventional social media.

Thank you for your read. :-)
