I'm so excited to share my first project today! This community has been so helpful already (even though I've been mostly lurking). So, here goes...
TLDR; Improve your Spanish with phrases that don't suck
Once I got past the basics in Spanish, practicing random phrases got boring & repetitive. When I mentioned this to other language learners, many reported that they had a similar experience!
Contexto curates phrases from pop-culture, song lyrics, video clips & more to create phrase collections that contain useful vocabulary and are easy to remember.

Early Access
I'm launching with an early access one-time fee to find other Spanish learners that are excited about this! I'll probably change it to a subscription in a month or so as the catalog of phrases grows.

Very cool! I can relate to feeling that the vocab rotation in popular apps are repetitive and unhelpful. I’m curious how you’re building these language decks, are you assembling them yourself?
As for feedback, I think I would personally need to see more decks that are relevant to my use cases before I spend money on an account.

The collections/decks are being manually created by myself and some friends from Argentina. The plan is to release 1-2 collections (around 20 phrases) per week.
I’m curious what kind of phrases you’d like to see? 😊
Nice! I'm also in the Spanish learning space, as I'm making leerly.io, and I think there is a ton of space left on the table that conventional apps don't cover. I genuinely love to see more indie folks thinking about this problem space.
One little thing I did notice - on your landing page you have this demo:
"Todo lo que ____ para Navidad eres tu"
and I suppose the answer is "quiero" but I think the "ser" conjugation should be in the 3rd person, as you are describing lo que quieres, and not the person you're talking to, so I think it should read
"Todo lo que _____ para Navidad es tu" instead.
I could be wrong though! Just thought I'd leave a note!

Hi, I am Spanish and the first sentence is the "right" one. At least, almost any native Spanish speaker would say it that way.
I see there is a inconsistency with "All I want for Xmas IS you" and, maybe, "es tú" would be more grammatically correct and saying "eres tú" is a common mistake.
I am sorry I can't give you a more accurate answer😅
According to several different translation services "eres tu" is correct, and I'm wrong, but I can't understand how for the life of me hahah. I guess I need to sign up because I'm already learning stuff from you ahahha
So I asked my friend from Argentina and she said the main reason it’s eres is because there is emphasis on it being the other person. 🤓
