My first SaaS landing page needs your feedback

Hi, all. I created WP Lookout for WordPress professionals who manage multiple sites for their clients, but who don't want to go all in on automatic theme and plugin updates. Here's our landing page:

https://wplookout.com/

We've just recently launched and I’d be grateful for any feedback you have, whether you’re a WordPress professional or not. Of course anything is fair game for your suggestions: the concept, the marketing site, the application's workflows, documentation, UI/UX, or whatever else comes to mind.

Thank you!

First impressions are good! Totally get the product, and my own WP experience understands the problem of what you are solving too. 'Got it' in the first 25% of the page without scroll fwiw. Perhaps my own developing for WP helps with this, but then I'm a potential target customer.

Points for improvement imo - you could go slightly harder on the benefits.

Catch security issues before they catch you:

WP Lookout helps you track changes behind the scenes across multiple sites whilst you sleep, if you manage a large farm of Wordpress sites, it will save you time, money and security headaches. Works on multiple domains across multiple sites giving you a clear view of any potential security issues and out of date code that needs updated. With piece of mind that your running the latest versions, your sites are less likely to be compromised etc. etc.

Out of all of those, I think I'd try and provide additional clarity on the plugin that you ship for each site that auto configures things inside WP lookout. You mention it in the video briefly but its a big 'easy to use' for your audience as it does stuff for you. I also don't think its obvious that it will actually work for more than just one website. Does the total count of themes plugins count across websites for example?

But yeah, definitely think you are onto something here.

Thank you! I appreciate the encouragement to sell the benefits harder and clarify the role of the companion plugin. Great feedback.

Hi Chris, First of all, very cool idea!
I spent a few minutes on the site (using Safari on iMac) This is my initial feedback..

    Branding & Colour Palette

Your website is currently using 6+ colours 2 blues, 3 (or 4) greys, black, white and the yellow in your logo.

I think the yellow (and black) in your lookout logo should be used to create a colour scheme, the corporate blue is something I would attribute to an accounting software or something else. I think the yellow is a friendly colour and WP Lookout is your Friendly Plug-in looking out for you! ;)

You can use http://coolors.co to help you generate a nice scheme which includes the yellow & black

    Hero image/Screengrab:
This screen grab is too narrow, I would take a larger screen grab of your entire software. Your video is great and it shows it's simplicity, the screen grab simply shows a small box, it's not doing your plug in much Justice.

Consider adding a slider with 2 or 3 screen grabs of your full software and maybe mention the 3 top feature titles too.

    Features:

The bold colour of the circle around your Icons are a little distracting. Cut down the features to 1 Sentence and make your Feature titles bigger. Right now you're trying to sell too much.

For more/all features you can add a "see full features" button and it can send people to the pricing section. - You will also be able to do some click tracking to see who presses on this, maybe serve them facebook ads to sign up.

    Footer:
Subscribe Submit Button is over 2 lines with textbox should be inline

    Goodluck!

    Hello Chris,
Great work, I had a quick look and here is my 2 cents.

1- The hero image got me distracted from the main message/headline due to the background.
2- I would also suggest adding multiple photos in a slide show or so to clarify the idea.
3- I also suggest that you include the video in the page itself instead of having a button as "watch video" it will make it stand out.
4- I don't think the news section is needed in this page, you don't need to distract the customer by anything else other than your CTA and so (may be the video can replace this section).
5- I also suggest that you add another call to action button by the end of the page.

    Good luck!

Thank you for taking the time to put together these suggestions!

Oh my goodness! Hello, Chris! It's so cool to see you here :-D

I think IggySmalls gave some great feedback. I don't have much of a design eye, but can agree that it would add visual cohesion to incorporate the yellow more.

This looks like a great product, and I have no doubt you know exactly why you built it. I like that you communicate right away that this is a product for WP professionals.

I don't have an opinion about the headline. If "tracking" is the word that you hear your target customers using most often to describe this job to be done, then I would imagine it's the right word to use in your headline. My one and only thought there is to change "tracking" to "track" to center it more on the customer than the product (aka the job the customer will get done vs what the product does — a subtle distinction that I'm learning more about, myself, from a marketing mentor).

Your landing page is very clear as to what the product is, how it helps me, and who it's for.

Hi there! Such a small world. :) Awesome to see you here, too.

Thanks for the great feedback and suggestions! Much appreciated.

I think you need to make your headline clearer. From "TRACKING THE WORDPRESS SOFTWARE YOU DEPEND ON." to something like:

"Don't Let Your Wordpress Site Get Hacked"
    or:
"Keep Your Wordpress Site Secure WIthout Lifting a Finger"
    or:
"We Automatically Update Insecure Wordpress Plugins Across All Your Sites"
