🤭 My First Time Building In Public (From the Very Start...)

I've only recently become familiar with the #BuildInPublic movement, and I'm already addicted to scrolling through the hashtag, looking at what other Indiehackers are creating.

I also just started working on my third Saas product, so I figured.... what a wonderful time to start building in public!

On my last two Saas products, I built the front end in React. Don't get me wrong, I really do like React, but it seemed like every other time I tried to ship a feature I would get caught up on some state management bug or a mind-numbing CSS attribute.

Now I know there already exist web app creators like bubble, but they've got so many buttons! And you start with an absolutely blank slate, nothing pre-built to get you going quickly.

I would still rather build my front end in React than a no-code editor like Bubble... but I thought, what if there was something that WAS better than react?

💫 Quicker, More Simple, And geared towards JUST Saas apps.

Talking to several other founders, I discovered that others even spent thousands on freelancers and some wanted to avoid hiring front-end devs.

Normally, I would collect money from these folks to fully validate the idea. But with a product like this, I wasn't entirely certain I could make what I envisioned. So I deferred to play around and see if I could get anywhere before attempting to get money.

💭 Let me know in the comments if you think my decision to not take money right away was right or not, I'm interested to hear what you all have to say.

This Sunday I sat down for a couple of hours to figure out how to build the product.

I decided to share my progress, and start #BuildingInPublic
