Hey everyone
I recently created this free tool (https://www.startersyrup.com/free-ai-tools/micro-saas-ideas-generator?ref=indiehackers) which generates Micro Saas ideas for your niche. The way it works is you enter in a niche or choose a random one and it generates 10 micro saas ideas. Over the past 3 weeks it's been used 3,000 times so in total it's generated over 30,000 startup ideas.
It’s gotten far more use than I anticipated and have received some messages on Reddit with suggestions to extend it. Some of the suggestions are interesting but I’m unsure on what to do so any suggestions are greatly appreciated! I will always leave it as a free tool which does what it’s currently doing (i.e. generate you 10 micro saas ideas for your niche) but it’s gotten me thinking about whether I should look into extending the tool somehow since it’s getting a lot of traction.
Here are some of the responses I got from Reddit when I asked this question (the first one is my personal favorite)?
a) throw them in the bin
b) curate them into some sort of free resource
c) create a weekly/monthly newsletter and send the top niches searched for that week/month along with some generated ideas
d) Introduce ads to monetize
e) Part of the tool is you can choose one of the generated ideas and generate an action plan for your MVP. One suggestion was to extend this to include affiliate marketing in the products that are mentioned in the action plan (example: use X boilerplate for development, use X guide for SEO strategies).
f) Make the ideas actionable with links to consulting, development, marketing and other services.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and don't feel bad if your answer is a!
I'd look to convert them into a free resource, newsletter, or social media content. That could be another source of traffic to drive prospects down the funnel and to your wesbite.
Converting it into social media content is an interesting one, I never thought of that. I might look into an X page that posts micro saas ideas. I might need to add to the posts with more value but it's definitely something to look into. Thanks for the suggestion, I really appreciate it!
