I had a wild experience this week I thought I’d share! Out of curiosity (and maybe a little hope), I posted my latest startup project to Hacker News with the title:
"Show HN: Too Many Business Ideas? stop choosing, launch all of them, FAST&FREE"
To my complete surprise, it quickly shot up to the front page. I refreshed the stats and just watched the traffic explode on my website, it was unreal seeing the live numbers spike! I barely had time to process what was happening, and honestly, I never expected it to gain that much traction so fast.
But here’s the twist: about an hour later, my post was removed. No explanation, no warning just gone from the front page as quickly as it appeared. I’m still not sure why (maybe self-promotion, maybe something in the title?), but it was both an amazing and confusing experience. I wish I could’ve engaged more with the community while the buzz was happening!
Even though things ended abruptly, I learned a lot about how unpredictable launching can be, and how much impact a short window of visibility can have.
Anyone else ever have a similar experience? Would love to hear about it!
I just published a blog guide sharing how I crafted my post and tips for maximizing your chances.

I posted one of my new side projects on HN afew days ago and it absolutely exploded in traffic, its awesome to see, although my post wasnt deleted, the traffic did die-down after a day. - Keep up posting your product and people will stick, goodluck.
Thanks! Defently will do, what are building?
It looks like when the CEO of Apple Tim Cook advised users to give Waze a try…. Growth is not about a single event, it’s the ability to demonstrate growth over time.
Totally agree!
This experience won’t stop me, it’s fuel to keep going and push even harder.
