Hi Everyone!
After almost 3 years of working very hard full-time for different companies/startups and different positions, I've always wanted to come back to indie hacking but because of being afraid of doing the leap I never go to it.
Previously I was writing dev articles few years ago which accumulated to 150K+- views on medium: https://medium.com/@georgyglezer
I've also created a udemy mobx course: https://www.udemy.com/course/mobx-in-depth-with-react which is not that updated since I created it.
I've launched Sekker ( a customer experience survey app) but had to shut it down because I focused on being a developer in a startup.
Not long ago I've decided to quit my job and start doing freelance so I can start building my own projects and share my journey here and and on twitter,
I'm going to do part time freelancing to support my financials and work on few ideas I have.
I'm thinking about diving into the Video and Photos AI market, building so application in this space.
I'm going to to post everyday on twitter and share my journey and thoughts about all of this process.
If someone wants to follow my journey, or have any question and wants to talk, motivate each other: https://x.com/stolenng
Welcome back! Three years is quite a long time. What motivated your return to a full-time job back then? Did you lose interest in indie hacking, or was it due to personal reasons?
I joined a startup as the first developer and then continued to become a manager there and I was invested in the startup, let's say I took a bet on the startup...
Afterward, I worked in a bigger company and then I tried again a company which also didn't end in the way I wanted,
I love building products and indie hacking, I've always built projects in my spare time but I never took the leap to trying to do it fully.
(I'm also married, with a mortgage and a 1-year-old daughter and 2 dogs, so need to have some 💲)
I see, make sense, thank you for sharing the details. Good luck on your journey!
