A few months ago, I realized that most “mindfulness” apps felt more like productivity tools than places of peace. They buzzed with reminders and leaderboards, when what I really wanted was stillness — a small, calm space to breathe.
That’s how Zen Courtyard began: as an experiment to turn my phone into a digital garden.
You can design your own serene courtyard, and decorate your space while listening to soft ambiences. But the heart of the app is the AI Buddha — an on-device guide you can chat with for gentle wisdom or daily reflection.
It’s not about gamifying mindfulness. It’s about creating a private sanctuary where thoughts settle.
No data tracking, no social pressure — just you, your garden, and a quiet conversation with your inner calm.
Key highlights:
🪷 Build & decorate your own Zen garden
🧘♂️ Chat with the AI Buddha for guidance and kōans
☁️ Sync seamlessly across iPhone, iPad with iCloud
💫 Everything is earnable through daily practice — in-app purchases are optional
My hope is that Zen Courtyard helps people rediscover silence in small moments — between tasks, meetings, or bedtime.
If that idea resonates, I’d love your feedback. You can download Zen Courtyard on the App Store and let me know what brings you peace.
