My Journey to freelancing

It was the summer '17 (2017) when I was living in the middle east because of my father's job, and because of the extreme heat during the summer I spent most of time indoors during the day where I tinkered with our home computer, a dell inspiron 17. As I spent time writing python scripts on my computer to move files from one place to another, I discovered the beautiful art of html and css. CSS looked like magic, I could manipulate anything I wanted in the browser, I had the power of changing the color of boxes on the screen, I felt like a god ( everything except put two things next to each other, lets be real ). After this discovery I spent days playing with just HTML and CSS making sparkly dinosaur sites along with many other 2007 looking sites. But one day as I looked through the stackoverflow answers, someone suggested using a js function to check if the user had clicked a button before I displayed my super secret message, and yet again I was blown away with the beauty of the web. This lead me to spend the rest of the year playing with js until I got decent with it and now craved to learn something new again.

This time we had immigrated to Australia, a beautiful country with some of the amazing people I have ever met. This lead me to getting my first very own machine, which I still use to date, Surface Pro 2017, its a beautiful machine ( with a few drawbacks). As I spent discovering the land of frameworks where every man and his dog has a framework, two frameworks caught my eye React and Svelte, two every opposite frameworks but yet they seemed so similar. I loved using React even if it meant my bundles were on the heavier side, cuz it gave me a lot of features and community was so big that I could find a example of anything I didn't how to build. And Svelte was able to woo me in with its compiler and beautiful syntax. I spent two years getting really good with them and it was really easy because of the wonderful community on either side which guided me through every problem I had. After all this, I have acquired a a certain set skill, not just technical ones but also some that allow me understand the needs of the people I work with, and now I would like to monetise these skills and start a freelance career where I can work with clients to deliver the needs that they have. I will write a article documenting every step of the way in my journey in building a freelance career.

I hope I can move forward with this career so it can allow me to learn new exciting things and build a community along the way.
