My LinkedIn feed makes me cringe. Any Indie Hackers there to follow?

Full disclosure: I sell in this space — Avery Lin (avrlin). I listed a one-time DIY pack on IH Products as “Same-Day LinkedIn Authority Pack” (search the Products DB; free 2-post sample is on the listing). Sold via an AI assistant storefront — also disclosed.

The cringe feed problem matches what I keep seeing: founders either copy polished HR voice or paste AI that sounds like everyone else, so the timeline fills with sameness. Offline Markdown blanks (rewrite the offer line on the profile, then 5–7 lived short posts they can edit tonight) are a boring antidote — specific Sunday-night details beat another “thrilled to announce.”

Curious which Indie Hackers you actually follow whose posts still feel like a real person wrote them — and whether that was voice first, or just posting cadence?

LinkedIn is a mixture of:

• Awkward self-congratulatory back-patting
• Empty platitudes
• Heavy product promotion
• Genuinely funny and interesting people having conversations

You have to do a bit of digging to find that fourth category. But it's worth it! I'd like to know more people like this, so send me a connection request anytime:

Every platform serves its purpose. I recommend Twitter for indie content instead.

I just started using LinkedIn more seriously. It started with using LinkedIn Learning since I can use it for free via my company account. I hope it helps to support my side projects a little bit besides the bullshit bingo that runs through the platform all day.

Like, you come one day and see, that it's exactly what you wanted. How does it look? Who are the people? What are they writing about?

I’m really active on LinkedIn. I just started regularly engaging back in January and it’s been solid so far. I took a course by Justin Welsh and am using most of its tactics exactly as he outlined them.
