My New SaaS Side Project: Simple One-Page Sites for Shopify

Hi all! 👋

I've been lurking around IH for a while now and wanted to finally say hello as well as introduce my new SaaS side project: Shopp.page.

In a recent episode of the My First Million podcast, Shaan talked about how there's a big opportunity to make something like carrd.co but specifically for Shopify.

Shopify themes are great but they're meant to be your storefront. Often times, marketers just need a simple one-page site for a select few products. The existing options for doing this just aren't that simple.

I got started on a prototype recently.

I'd welcome any thoughts and feedback on this idea :) I want to build out this side project in public as much as possible.

Thanks!

Saw the same demand for our website builder. But we decided not to target ecomm for now.

      That's awesome to hear!

Haha I saw the post title and knew it sounded familiar.

      Nice 😄

Does that domain work? I get an unresolved.
What is the intent, they post a link on their page that then goes to the custom cloudfront site? I like the real time editing interface that's nice and simple/intuitive UI.

      Hey thanks!

Which link do you mean? I don't have anything up at shopp.page yet . The CloudFront link from the demo is dead now.

The overall intent is that people will be able to link up their Shopify store, produce a simple page based on templates, then get a link so they can share it.

They'll be able to share via <subdomain>.shopp.page or via a custom domain.

Oh I see, that wasn't meant to be literal about "Here's my project: shopp.page" haha.

So a potential buyer would probably see one of these "simple page" and then that would take them to the store to actually buy?

yep exactly. perhaps I'll work a checkout flow into the produced pages, we'll see!
