My newsletter reached 250 subscribers in two days, now what?

Hi everyone

A couple of days ago, I launched the https://ideasfor.dev on Reddit, PH, and IH. So far, I have 250 subscribers, which I sent the first newsletter yesterday.

Now I have some questions. I hope you can help me with them.

  1. Besides making content, what other things should I do to increase my subscribers?

  2. How to analyze my first newsletter's data? For example, from 200 subscribers, 115 opened the email, and one of them was unsubscribed. How should I analyze these kinds of data, which number should I focus on more?

  3. right now, I'm using the free plan on the Sendinblue mail provider, which has 300 free emails per day after I reached 300 subscribers. Should I pay to buy a premium account or what? :))

Thank you

Hi Saeed, my suggestion is to move to Revue

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the Revue. All of its features are already implemented on my website but honestly, I don't know what kind of value it adds to my newsletter. could you be more specific how it helps me with those 3 questions that I ask.

      Thanks

For 3) point, you don't have to worry about the number of subscribers on Revue and also a user can browse all the archives easily

I haven't worked with these kinds of platforms, so I'm sorry about the question, why I don't need to worry about subscribers?
          thanks

Hi Saaed, I saw your post over here and I think is a cool idea. I used to put together newsletter for companies

1- You should think about how much writing you can do and what topics you want to host. Maybe you can do a biweekly newsletter, but you need to make your followers know that. Usually a great newsletter takes work. So I will focus on something meaningful for a day (like what you’re doing) and something that you can put fast. Maybe can be best insights from Reddit’s dev subgroups, best new tools. Something fast and quick.

2- That’s quite complicated you want to find first your north start metric and work in that. Usually the most valuable kpi is the engaged people rather than the new subscribers.

3- You can use sub stack that later on allows you to monetize it or even mail chimp (is a more pro tool) but is quite efficient and allows to do different customization. At some point you will need to pay for a tool.

Thank you Isabela, that was helpful.

I totally agree with your first two points, although, I don't get your last point. How these tools (substack, Mailchimp) can help me with my newsletter?

To be honest, right now, I have no idea what am I gonna do in future, I think it's better I focus on the content for now, then see what will come up next.

Thanks for sharing this. I took a look at it and the price is really really cheap. even though it takes more time to configure it, I will definitely consider it.

      Thank you :)
