Like most of us here I have a few different side brands and projects on the go and next year I planned to put together a proper strategy / focus between them. I wanted to jot down the ideas / decisions as I progress through the year so I have some level of self published commitment to stick with those decisions.
Earlier this evening I had an idea for another project for 2023 which will be the hub for all of this - "Built In Public".
I know the popular term is "build in public" but in my mind most are doing "built" in public as they are writing about what they have just done, rather than what they will do (yes its a nit-picking, I'm fussy like that).
So far I have only just written down the initial blurb to get my thoughts in place, the general idea is this:
Built In Public is a place where you can write about what your business / project / side hustle recently did (past tense) or read up on others journeys to reach their goal. From financial freedom, to inner happy place, we have all built something to talk about.
The site will be on a .co.uk domain (not paying $2k for .com), but anyone that would like to have a guest author account on the main site to publish their own content would be welcome (for free).
If there is interest I might see about setting up sub domains so you could have website-toolkit.builtinpublic.co.uk for a small annual fee. This would be running WordPress in multi site to reduce the overall admin workload.
For a slightly higher fee I might be able to do isolated sub domain in separate hosting so you'd have full control over theme / plugins etc (just to cover hosting / backup costs).
If this is something you might be interested in when I've got the basics together then please let me know on this thread, or follow the (only just created 2mins ago and empty profile) placeholder twitter account:

Thanks for reading.
PS. As for the projects, they are Our Web Hosting, Our Web Services, Website Toolkit, Site Assistant and Web Speed Cache Crawler. 2022 was a busy year!
