My notion template for validating ideas

Hey all!

Today I'm excited to share with you the Notion template I used to manage all of my customer conversations, identify insights to de-risk my business idea, and pre-sell over $200 of my product before launch.

It seems to have worked, because that product, softwareideas.io is growing rapidly, already at $646 MRR and over $2,000 in sales in only three weeks!

In the template, I've included my real customer conversations so you can see what the process actually looks like. All of these have been anonymized, of course.

The template contains two parts:

  1. The table for customer interviews, acting as a small CRM and, more importantly as a way for you to record and draw insights from your customer conversations.

  1. A risks/hypotheses table, letting you capture the big-picture of the customer conversations, allowing you to keep track of risks as you move through and mitigate or validate them.

You can find detailed instructions specifically inside the document!

Happy to answer any questions in the comments below! I hope you find this useful!

PS: I'll be doing a detailed video walkthrough of this template for subscribers of softwareideas.io. If that interests you, you can sign up here.

Reading through all the conversations, I really learnt much about idea validation and presell!

Thanks, glad you like it! This template, for me, was the difference between having a successful product and a failed one.
