Wow, congratulations great work! I loved finding out about your other ventures too.
I too have been considering creating a SEO course/community for the same audience but just keep sitting on things and overthinking it all.

Even this afternoon I was feeling really deflated with my progress so far and came on indie hackers for some motivation. Well congrats, your post and blog has hit the mark! Keen to see how your course progresses.

Love your point about starting small. My most successful projects were because I had small milestones, like canceling my utility bill with one side hustle and then increasing the goal etc. If I didn't do this and had a lofty goal in mind, I would've quit in weeks.

The power of starting small 💪

Woah. That's nice. Btw, your portfolio is also simple and elegant.

I have read so many stories that they made first sale through telling on twitter. Don't know how they are doing it.In my case tweets get buried into the fathomless dump of the dead.. Lol..

I helped my mom productive her language teaching services and got her to build up a list of emails via a fb group whilst building the course. Worked decent and had people waiting for it long before it was done.

You're not alone 😂 one day we will also be blessed by the Twitter algorithm

The same would have happened to me if I hadn't spent the last 8 months delivering content and value consistently. Hence that forms the first (and most imp) part of this blog post :)

      1. 1

Yeah, I understand consistency is the key..
The pragmatic SEO approach is in my mind for a long. . I am a developer and I can implement that using API and all. The only thing that bother me that, even if create 1000's of long-tail focusing pages.. The effort is still the same as writing 1000 blog articles because API will give you the Data, not the content which could rank. So the API is fulfilling only 20-30% of the landing page content. You still need to write 1000's paragraphs to make that page unique to crawl.

        What's your suggestion here?

        1. 1

          Do the hard work :)

20-30% is still a lot. Publish 10 pages/week. If it works, start scaling by getting freelancers from Fiverr into the mix.

Awesome work Preetam! Have been supporting your work on Twitter for a while, really love this growth bro 😄

Hey Daksh. Thank you for your support, I sincerely appreciate it 🙏

    Hi Preetam,
Congrats on pre-launch sale, please share some thoughts on keeping the course short to 1.5 hours only

    1. 2

      1.5 hours is perfectly normal

    2. 1

Hey! The final course length is 2h and 12m. Keeping the course short -> Cutting the fluff and focusing only on delivering the message.

    Interesting!
