My privates are now on display

https://hyper.host

So I got tired of customers being very demanding and not truly understanding that I’ve worked for over 2 years for free on https://hyper.host

As a result I’ve started displaying my complete story on the site for all to see instead of hiding behind the glossy ‘big company’ wording. So far people have reacted very kindly to the change, paying respects to my work and complimenting my idea.

However, in the long run this may well turn out to be a bad idea but I’m hoping people will understand that I’m working really hard to make something that ultimately offers them a quality alternative to corporate ‘one size fits all’ shared hosting.

What do you guys think? Will this be the end or the beginning of my ongoing project? Will I finally turn a profit?? 😂

Any feedback appreciated!

Would you be able to elaborate on that @pieohpah? I'm not sure what you mean.

      Thanks

Completely OT, but is this intentional? If yes, I find it super confusing.. https://d.pr/i/FiPasg

      Hey @karls

No it was a typo, that will teach me not to deploy late at night when i'm half asleep :)

      Thanks for pointing it out.

Hey yeah this is a cool approach. Here is my impression - it is not super clear to me what service you are offering. I had to read back through it again to understand you were hosting PHP applications (wordpress, ect?).

I guess I get the whole serverless idea from being a developer, but as a customer I was not clear on what I am here for on the landing page.

Thanks for the feedback @ard, i've been struggling the whole 2 years to be honest, its a new concept and explaining it in a way that everyone understands has been much more challenging than i ever thought it would be. Is there anything you would look for in order to clarify the offering? e.g an explainer video or something else?

I'm not sure but I would think about to communicate your value proposition to customer in the clearest way to the most potential customers. E.g. "Simplest ever wordpress hosting service", or maybe "Zero configuration global scale wordpress hosting"? What is your biggest market? Is it people who are looking for easy hosting of things like wordpress and Drupal?
