My Product Hunt Launch (3 days later)

I would suggest building your startup publicly. By that, I mean sharing all of your progress and updates on all your socials like Twitter. In addition, I found Indie Hackers to be an amazing marketing channel actually. I would recommend sharing about your journey up until your Product Hunt launch (ex. how you built your startup, successful times, and failures). However, make sure to be authentic. Don't come across trying to just sell your product. Instead provide real value. In terms of user growth, I haven't experimented with too many marketing channels. So far, I have only launched on the web store and Product Hunt but both have produced some pretty amazing organic growth. I hope this answers your question! I would say that the first hour is by far the most important. If you can get in the top 7 or so in the first hour, then you will get organic growth throughout the day. And if your product is good, you should rise to a higher spot.

I made several posts on Indie Hackers, about my journey creating my SaaS. They all had links to my upcoming PH launch. Finally, on launch day, I made two more posts which all led to links to upvote on PH. That was how I used Indie Hackers. Let me know if that answers your questions.

On Product Hunt, I think the first hour or so matter the most. If you can get a good amount of votes in that first hour, then you can stay on the front page for organic growth throughout the whole day. Hope this helps

Actually Indie Hackers was amazing for me. Besides that I sent out an email to my current user base and they got me some engagement on Product Hunt aswell
