My "progress" with Quora: 4.6K views in week = 18 clicks

So last week I asked over IndieHackers if Quora works for someone. It turns out that for some people it gave results.
I invested a week working with Quora, made around 50 answers.
Here are my investigations:

Quora sent 5 my answers to the digest with 30K ppl in total (like this one or this one )

Some answer got 90 upvotes (just funny content)

In total my answer got 4.6 views and... 18 clicks
So weird! I will keep testing Quora for 2 more weeks probably

I got a lot of success on quora in the past (had one answer with 250k views and 25k likes, more than ten with 1k+ likes) and only 30 total answers. My advice is to apply to quora the same principles you apply to google seo. In fact, quora most of visits come from search engine and basically every question is like a huge blog post that aims to target for a keyword.
I used to write long answers, with lots of links as sources to prove my claims (I put then at the end of my article) and share my answer with people I knew the second I published. The fastest you get the first likes, the more likely it is to get exposure thabks to the algorithm. Another think, answer to questions with lots of followers but few competition. Something like 5 -7 followers for every follower. Another thing you could do is answer questions of people that are "famous" on quora or at least in your niche.
Main problem with quora: moderation sucks. I got one rule violation in months then got suddebly banned. No explanation. I latet discovered that there are group of users that, outside of quora, target other users to get their answers collapsed or their profile banned. I never got my account back and all my answers are down right now.

Just a follow-up note:
what was the range of traffic you were getting from your answers?
What do you mean with range of traffic? On quora or to my website?
On quora I had about 700k views with something like 30 answers. It doesn't make a lot of sense to make the average of that, because two answers alone made more than 350k views, while others made between 1-2k.
My answers got me 6k visitors, which is not bad. I would say that on twitter and reddit is easier to get views and traffic to your website, while on quora answers can produce results for months and even years. Clearly it is not for everybody, but before giving up on quora, try my suggestions.
Take your successful Quora answers and turn them into blog posts. Recycle into YouTube videos.
Use Quora as a way to help you write more about your product and create content. Often times people will see your product on Quora but not click it, but rather search it or save for later.

one answer - 3-10 minutes, so around 2 h per day. Not that much, more like a subtask between bigger tasks.

I tried Quora but couldn't even get views, let alone click throughs! So I'm not even close to making it work! Going to focus elsewhere I think :)
Wow, well I see Quora like more of a long term game, but wouldn't bet everything on it though.
I also wouldn't discount the long term gains of a popular answer. I'll often find myself Googling something and finding a Quora question/answer as one of the top results. In many cases the answer was written years go. If the answers you're writing are truly valuable I wouldn't be surprised to see a continual stream of views/clicks. Even if the CTR stays low it seems like a more long term play.

I can see how Quora can work for some niches... But doesn't work with all...
Plus nowadays everyone is posting/spamming links there so... I guess the click rate is dropping...
