My project needs an active user community. Any advice to get collaborative users?
Hi, all. I'm currently working on a side project which will help IT people (developers, designers, DevOps teams etc.) to find useful learning resources.
The idea is that everyone can share their learning path for some topic to help others to learn the same thing. There are too many learning resources out there, and learning anything is a little bit overwhelming sometimes. Only with a landing page, I have more subscribers than I could imagine at the beginning, so I think it is a pretty good idea.
My biggest concern is that the learning paths have to be created by other people, so I need an active community. People who collaborate by adding learning paths, voting resources, adding comments and the like. But what if after the launch there are only "passive" users? What can I do to encourage participation?
