My quarantine project could potentially stimulate the economy
Out of complete boredom and having nothing else to do during this lock down, I've decided to put my skills to the test. The goal was to brainstorm, plan and develop an MVP solution that could help our economy. After many hours of dev time (and plenty of beer!), i am happy to present: What Happens In College.
What is it:
This platform helps you find people on or near your campus. Socialize around popular upcoming events get access to the VIP list. Stay updated with your school's athletics teams. Show every other school in the country why yours is the best!
How restaurant owners benefit:
As you are well aware, the restaurant and service industry just received a massive blow. What Happens In College is unique because we are located primarily in college towns. These small cities face many challenges finding and sustaining a reliable customer base. We have made it our mission, to help small and medium sized businesses located in college towns, build and maintain and rich customer base. We use a variety of tools and methods, to increase engagement around businesses, that otherwise, would be left in the dust.
How college campuses benefit:
University institutions exist to educate students. As times and circumstances change, universities are having a hard time adapting to the rapid rate of change. In order for campuses to thrive for years to come, they need a steady stream of applicants. What Happens In College rallies millions of potential students around one common theme -- the university.
How advertisers & promoters benefit:
What Happens In College in it's simplest form, is an event engine. We make it possible for people, businesses, and advertisers (like you) to socialize around popular upcoming events. By interacting with your target audience directly, it takes the ad out of advertising. Start leaving a lasting impression with your largest consumer.
I hope you are able to see my vision in this dark time. This is definitely a game changer for the US economy.

I can't quite relate to the actual content of what you're doing but I wanted to say that your headline was incredibly effective. I couldn't have avoided clicking it even if I wanted to. It's the right mix of arrogance and "could this guy actually have something here?" mentality. Kudos my friend!
Thanks for the feedback! Based on what you said, I went ahead an revised all of the copy on the homepage to make it more digestible for readers. This platform stimulates college towns/ cities all over the world by allowing college kids, advertisers, and university personnel to socialize around -- events. By helping increase application rates for universities, they'll begin to see how it brings more customers to businesses around the campus
Why does the featured image look like a listing for movies? Is that a feature in this college app?
