My side hustle is my hobby...

"I wake at 7 every morning and get ready for my full-time job at IBM. When I get home, I usually work on my side project until I go to bed. People always ask me how I manage it all. But my side hustle is my hobby. It's what I'm really into. Other people are photographers, or they're doing sports, stuff like that. I really enjoy the process of building something that resonates with an audience — seeing things come to life. It's totally fun, it doesn't feel like work. My co-founders are spread all over Germany, but on the weekends we sometimes get together and have little hackathons. Those are always a ton of fun. We all loved what we were doing so much that, when the project was in the danger zone financially last year, we invested a bit more of our own money to keep it going. We're giving ourselves one more year to see if we can make it work. If it does, maybe I'll quit my job, eventually. But for now, I'm happy with where things are. I really enjoy my job and I love spending my free time on my side hustle. I feel content, and I'm grateful for that."
