My side project just got featured on Product Hunt ๐ŸŽ‰

Just launched Erla on PH and somehow got featured ๐Ÿš€

Quick background:

  • Solo side project, built while working full-time
  • Language learning app focused on comprehension-first methodology
  • 22 separate apps (one per language) instead of one multi-language app
  • Fully automated releases across 1,320 store listings

Currently aiming for top 3 among featured products. Would appreciate any support from the community.

Lesson so far: Ship faster. I spent 6 months on a different project before this. Built Erla in just 5 days + couple weeks on automation to submit 22 apps to app store and google play.

How have you found product hunt? Much success?

  3. 2

That is awesome! Congratulations! Any advice for people that are getting ready to ship their own product?

    1. 1

Not really, it is always random :-)

  4. 2

Congrats on the launch ๐ŸŽ‰ Wishing you the best of luck โ€” impressive work

    Interesting approach, it looks good!

  6. 2

Interesting approach, especially tapping sentences for grammar in context. Curious how you balance simplicity with depth for beginners

  7. 2

The "5 days vs 6 months" contrast is such a powerful reminder. Shipping faster forces you to confront real user feedback instead of building in a vacuum.

The 22-app architecture is fascinating too - curious about the decision there. Did you find that separate apps perform better in store discovery vs one multi-language app? Or was it more about keeping each codebase lean?

Either way, the automation investment to handle 1,320 store listings is the kind of infrastructure that compounds over time. Congrats on the feature!

Good luck! Getting it out there fast is definitely the way to go. Congrats, Alex!

Congrats on getting featured thatโ€™s huge the comprehension-first approach + the decision to ship fast really stands out. Managing 22 separate apps with automated releases is no small feat.

Iโ€™ve already upvoted and left a comment on Erla on PH excited to see how this performs today. Best of luck pushing for top 3

    whats different then duolingo?

    1. 1

I bit different learning. Erla is focusing on understanding first approach so no grammar and other bullshit. :-)

    Your app looks good๏ผ

The automation for 22 separate apps is impressive. That's the kind of leverage that pays off long-term.

I hope it will give me more ASO opportunities and more traffic from stores in total.
