    Great story!
That comment form the last guy killed me!

Just to understand, you sold before checking the peak in traffic?

Thanks! Yep, I sold it literally the day before it was posted on Reddit (only for a few $ because the site was pretty much dead at that point lol)

I saw it on Reddit and I upvoted it when it was published (the world is so small haha) because I posted my site on the same subreddit a few weeks ago and I got a ton of visits. At one moment I had 10k visitors online, of course, my site crashed a few times, but Cloudflare was a big help.
    Interesting story!

Small world indeed! That's crazy to hear. What's your site?

Well, hopefully, the sale was worth it? I know I visited the site when it was on top of Reddit. I cant imagine the DAU is very high so I suppose all the money to be earned by the buyer was done at the peak?

Who knows! Great work on it and I hope your future projects see great success with YOU at the helm.

Selling it wasn't worth it at all haha! Only made a few bucks! It's not so much the money I made off of it that I'm salty about––I just wish I had taken advantage of Reddit/maximized the site's potential when I did own it :P

      Appreciate the kind words :)

That last comment got me dead!

That curve of death...I'm thinking of moving away from blogging because this happens pretty often, you have some article that gets a lot of interest but nobody sticks around to see the next one. For podcasts or YouTube people are already used to subscribing and have a more personal connection to you and the content.
    Thanks for sharing!

I can't seem to attach images where I want to here, so I linked the medium article I wrote instead.

    tl;dr: Don’t make shortsighted choices like I did :)
