How you can generate $2400 without an audience

This is not a 6-figure income.
It's just my story as an indie maker with a 9-6 job, 2 kids, and a family life

Here is my story & my tactics ↓

Context

I created my 1st twitter account 9 months ago :January 29th, 2021

I launched my first paid product in April, The Garage Studio

At that time I only had 281 followers

And yet I made my first sales

HERE IS HOW

April : Validate the product

• 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁: Identify the problem
• 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 : @Reddit + @IndieHackers + @Twitter + Communities
• 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: Pre-sales on Gumroad
• 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀: landing page with pre-sales is enough

💵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: $425

May: Use the community of others

I only have 461 followers but thanks to my product an influencer contacts me on Twitter

We find a deal

⚡And in return he shares my product on a Facebook Group

• 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀: Use other's communities

💵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: $1040

June:Classic distribution

588 followers & I continue to make content to promote on "classic" channels: Reddit, Indie Hacker, Twitter

• 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: No special offer just classic promotion
• 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀: Consistency and content is the key

💵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: $324

July, Aug, Sep : 3 months of chill

During these 3 months, I redesigned a part of the product to embed it totally on Gumroad and propose the content in PDF

I completely stopped the distribution

-𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀: Keep distributing permanently

💵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: $168

October:A lead magnet

All the year I offered free products to build an email list

• 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Mailing list
• 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: I offered my product for free
• 𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀: Build a mailing list

💵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀:$441

I generated $2400 by spending 3 hours a day:

→ after work
→ after taking care of my children
→ after having a normal life

𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 : I tested, failed, iterated.
